5 Steps to Successful Attraction Marketing

If I never get another email that says "This is your last chance..." or something equally annoying I would be a happy camper. I don't like the big in-your-face sales pages. I feel like I'm being yelled at. But if that's not the way to sell, what is?

If I invited you over to my house for a cup of tea I would bet that nowhere in our conversation would I try to sell you something.

If I met you at a party I might ask you what you do and you might or might not be interested in what I do. But unless it's relevant to your interests you won't really care.

Attraction Marketing is about putting out a vibration that attracts the perfect people to your services. It's about you, your energy, your integrity, your passion. Who you are is naturally attractive.

1 - Attract the right people

I'm not going to ask you for tea unless I have some idea that I like you and you might like me.

I probably won't spend much time with you at a party unless we find some common interests pretty early on in our conversation.

And I certainly wouldn't make plans to see you again if I didn't find you interested.

All that happens organically. That happens when you talk and share information and get to know each other.

When you are true to yourself and your passion, the right people will be organically attracted to you.

2 - Let them get to know you

In real life we can make plans to get together. In marketing you'd certainly like to get together with your prospects so what do you have to invite them too? Are you giving a free teleclass? Does your emagazine reflect your excitement and passion while offering value? How can you continue to get to know those people who have shown interest in you and conversely, how can you let them get to know you?

3- Be yourself. Be generous

I don't know about you, but my fondest connections come when I show up in service. Many of my coaching clients come from having been on one of my Success Magnets teams in The Product Factory. Others have come from a course we took together. Others come because someone I worked with had a great experience and passed my name forward.

And I was just being myself as I stayed in service.

On my web site I offer access to the many informative articles I have written so visitors can browse and come away with new insights.

In my coaching practice I add support in the form of experiential exercises that uncover important insights that move them forward.

My home study courses are rich in content. My blogs offer thoughtful insights.

Show up in service. Show up as who you are. Share what you are interested in. Share your passion and your joy. Be generous with your knowledge and expertise. That makes you and your work attractive.

4 - Tell them what they need to know to make an informed decision

Marketing is nothing more than giving people enough information to make an informed decision. There, that feels better doesn't. No need for big print, yellow boxes or hyped up copy. Just talk to them and see what you can do for them.

If you and I have become acquainted and you share a problem you have, I'd want to help. If I had an idea about a solution I'd first of all ask you if I could tell you about it (permission marketing) and then I'd tell you everything I could so you could make an informed decision for yourself. No selling, no pushing, no talking you into it - just giving you information about this particular solution.

5- Keep the connection open and stay in service

As with any friendship, it takes time to deepen your relationship. In your internet business you are working to build a relationship with people from all over the world who come to visit your web site. Sometimes the connection is instantaneous and sometimes it simply takes time to develop. Keep the connection open, keep giving, and stay in service. The perfect people will find you and become your loyal customers and clients. That's how easily Attraction Marketing works.
