If we worry about lack of money, or becoming sick, or feeling unloved, that is exactly what we will attract. But when we focus on the feeling that prosperity brings, the joy of a healthy body, and the enrichment that comes from being loved, that is exactly what we attract more of.

So, what exactly are you attracting in your business? What are you expecting for yourself? What are you focusing on?

My philosophy is to buy the very best you can afford of whatever it is you need at the time. For instance, I invested in Easy Web Automation, an affordable and powerful shopping cart system because its what people doing way more business than I am are using so I know it will let me grow as big as I can imagine. For instance, it stores and downloads e-books, it figures shipping on hard goods, it has an autoresponder system, it tracks up to 10,000 members of your database (think about that one…) it has an affiliate program and an ad tracking system. I set myself up with the most complete package I could find because I'm thinking big.

Yes, I might or might not be able to find less expensive combinations to do the same thing but that's the point. It would be combinations, not one-stop-everything-I-need.

In the past year I have invested in Certified Teleclass Leader Training , The Product Factory where I learned to create signature products and Traffic School, where I learned about traffic and conversion. It's been an intense year of learning. But already I have expanded my business by teaching others some of what I learned. I have made my selection of teachers that I follow through their e-magazines and course offerings. I watch the big guys and gals at work and adapt some of their ideas into my own offerings. I am constantly learning and assimilating ideas.

As I watch others in action, I expand my own thinking, my own plans, my own expectations. I see myself as successful and in deep service to others.

On the "buy-now" buttons on my web site I now use the word "invest" for that is what people do when they purchase something from me—they invest in their knowledge, their understanding, and probably in their life experience. Do you look at a purchase as an investment in your future? Do you look at what you have to offer as an investment for other people? Do you value what you offer?

There is something called "the cost of doing business" that every businessperson expects. They figure it into their business plan. They allow for it when calculating profits. If you are one of the many who are coming into your own business without a business background, you may not think to factor this in. But every training you take, the quality of the web site you invest in, the shopping cart system you buy, the professional book cover you invest in, the expertise of the copy on your marketing material, are all simply part of the cost of doing business. And the quality of your choices, greatly affects the quality of your business.

Call it start up money, call it cost of doing business, call it investing in your business, but see it as investing in your self and your future. And aim high. Think big. Expect greatness! Lay a solid foundation for your business that has room to grow with you so you can expand to levels beyond your wildest dreams.
