It was crazy. I've had an affiliate program
for over a year. I have 25 people signed up. And I've been putting off and putting
off, moving back through the tutorials to be certain I was providing them with
what they needed. Sure I had written "The Affluent Affiliate Guidebook"
to help them get started, and sent them a helpful mini-e-course at the beginning
but never once beyond that had I asked for their help. Don't
you just know that part about "doing it all yourself?!" Sometimes we
can be so slow in recognizing an opportunity. So I
wrote a new e-book and teleclass and all the advertising steps that go with that
including a strong sales page. And suddenly it was time for me to support my affiliates
and for them hopefully to be in a position to help me. I wrote special copy for
them and offered them good money in return for anyone who signed up for my new
teleclass. Then I e-mailed them for their help. All
of a sudden I had a team! All of a sudden I was not just marketing to my own list.
With their help people I don't know would now hear about my teleclass and come
check it out. It was like a huge burden had been removed.
I wasn't just sitting her in my wonderful home office doing my thing, I was being
supported by people who had already come to my web site, liked what they saw,
and become an affiliate because they wanted to support me and share my work..
A team! A genuine team! Within
an hour one of my affiliates wrote back to say she would include my teleclass
notification in her upcoming e-magazine. The support had begun. If
you don't know about affiliate programs, let me tell you, they are one incredible
way to both get help and give help. They are a powerful source of passive income.
Here's how it works. Let's say you like my web site
and what I offer. You sign up to become an affiliate. You then get your very own
affiliate link which you use to direct people to my site or to a specific sales
page. You can put it on your resource page, or in your e-magazine or in a special
promotional e-mail or all three. When a person clicks on your affiliate link and
comes to my website, they are "cookied in." Which means a cookie is
placed on my site and any time and every time they come and buy something, you'll
earn some money from me. How easy is that! I
have a lot of affiliate links to other people on my web page, especially on my
resource page. They are people that I know or know about and can personally recommend.
That helps the people that come to my site find what they need, and in return,
I earn some money for posting the link. If you want to have your own affiliate
program check out the one I use that's part of my shopping cart at EasyWebAutomation.
I have collected a series of valuable resources for my coaching clients and when
available I include my affiliate links. For instance, I have a free e-book on
my web site that gives valuable information while at the same time contains affiliate
links to the recommended resources. For passive income, think affiliates! Even
though we work alone, we are not alone. Build some joint ventures for yourself.
Sign up to be an affiliate for people and services you believe in and share those
links with others. Start your own affiliate program so you too can feel the joy
and support when you come to the day that you ask your affiliates for help! ©
